Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Accessible Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG), Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 as amended.
This accessibility statement applies to this website.
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with the Conformance Level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the following incompatibilities.
Non-accessible Content
Due to the historical development of the website, we assume that the content is not fully accessible.
The following content is not accessible for the following reasons:
a. Incompatibility with Accessibility Requirements
- Some images and buttons are missing alternative text or contain non-descriptive alt text.
- Some tables lack headers; headings are partially missing or incorrectly structured; lists are not properly formatted or missing ARIA labels.
- The requirements for sufficient contrast for text and non-text content according to WCAG Level AA are not consistently met across the website.
- The structure and labeling of headings and form fields are being continuously revised to improve clarity and usability for all users.
- The requirement for reformatting at high zoom levels without loss of information or functionality is mostly fulfilled; content generally remains usable when zoomed in.
- The website is generally keyboard accessible. Most functions can be used without a mouse, though there are still minor limitations with certain elements.
- We plan to gradually fix those issues that can be resolved editorially (e.g., missing image alt texts).
- We also plan to gradually address technical issues (e.g., limited operability).
b. Disproportionate Burden
- The tab order or menu positioning is partially incorrect.
- Our videos are hosted both on this website and on the YouTube platform. For some of these videos, it is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions.
c. Content Not Covered by Applicable Legal Requirements
- Historical documents (e.g., older image and PDF files) are not or only partially accessible for screen reader users and are not sufficiently scalable.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG will issue recommendations and suggest measures to the federal government or the relevant entity to address the identified deficiencies.
